Vacancy: Cost Accountant at Dangote

Description

• Putting together the presentations and reports on transportation financing for Exco
• Controls over transportation costs (including third parties)
• Examining and balancing mileage bills and retention costs to make sure the right accruals are made
• Analyzing and justifying costs/expenses and transport KPIs in close collaboration with the transport department.
• Weekly matching of GRN with waybills (for materials).
• Examining and maintaining all of the system’s transport account codes. ensuring appropriate cost distribution among transport GLs.
• GIT evaluation
• Keeper of the transportation budget, with a monthly comparison between actual and budget. Facts should be used to properly explain any deviations.
• Aid in the transportation vendors’ reconciliation.
• Carry out any additional duties as directed by the CFO or financial controller.

Requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Competent individual with CPA/ACCA
• SAP expertise is a benefit.
• Capacity to fulfill deadlines
• Self-driven and able to function well under duress
• Capacity to collaborate with others and communicate with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swahili and English
• A minimum of two years’ experience in the transportation or manufacturing sectors.
