Being in charge of all operational tax issues pertaining to the companies under the Mozambique Business unit is the main goal of this position.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- As part of the role, compliance with any operational country-related tax matters (such as TP requirements, excise duties, VAT, WHT, payroll taxes, stamp duties, customs charges, and income tax) would be the responsibility of the individual.
- In order to implement all tax efficiency efforts, the incumbent will collaborate with the BU Tax Manager and the Africa Zone Tax team. They will also be expected to concentrate on Cash Tax Efficiencies and the requirements for Cash Tax Reporting and Tracking as outlined in the ABInBev policy.
- to serve as the primary tax liaison for the Finance Manager/Director and the BU Tax Team regarding any pertinent tax issues.
- To offer tax leadership, direction, and assistance to all company units and operations
- To offer general tax guidance and advice to the company.

The Tax specialist will be required to:
- Assist the BU Tax Manager in making sure the nation has the right agreements and mechanisms in place.
- Create and implement plans to reduce tax exposures and liabilities for the entire business unit with assistance from the tax department for the Africa Zone.
- Make that the country tax arrangements adhere to the norms and guidelines for zone tax and ABInBev global.
- Conduct routine operational tax assessments for all business units in the nation and put measures in place to rectify any gaps found during these assessments.
Profile:
- A degree in tax, commerce, or accounting
- A minimum of four years’ experience in the tax field, with a focus on tax accounting and reporting. Relevant practical tax experience in Tanzania or Africa, covering both direct and indirect taxes as well as international taxation.
