Job Purpose
The Specialist of Network and security will be responsible to manage networks to ensure they function efficiently. Tasks such as collecting network performance data, monitoring network security, troubleshooting issues, anticipating problems, and performing routine maintenance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Analyze the network architecture and contribute to the router and switch setup, design, integration, and improvements.
- Operational management of the Core network domain with a focus on network security to provide end-to-end network availability and performance; to guarantee that preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance are carried out in accordance with vendor recommendations.
- Make sure that every piece of core network infrastructure hardware—firewalls, load balancers, switches, routers, etc.—is operating at peak efficiency for the network segments that connect the data center.
- To support management decisions in improving service delivery, provide planning statistics, a periodic report, and a projection of the network’s capacity.
- Engage in IT infrastructure initiatives and carry out other tasks as delegated.
- keeps up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices relevant to the duties of this role
- Investigate and fix issues with connectivity, WAN and LAN performance, and other associated network issues.
- Create, evaluate, and deploy WAN and LAN hardware, as well as develop an affordable system configuration that satisfies user needs.
- Collaborating with several network and communication providers to develop the infrastructure for our new branches or buildings.
- Enable the acquisition and monitoring of IT hardware, software, and licensing.
- Uphold and enhance the functionality and well-being of end-user systems.
- Take part in the incident response program, making sure that all high-level managers are aware of their responsibilities in the event of an incident and that the program is tested across the entire organization.
- Assign and oversee users’ remote (VPN) DC access and real-time network user activity monitoring.
- For voice services, configure and manage LAN and WAN.
- Cisco UI apps can be installed, configured, upgraded, and troubleshooted.
- Oversee and manage various audio-visual facilities, unified collaboration systems, presentations, and IP telephony upgrades.
- In charge of VAPT (vulnerability and penetration testing).

Qualifications and Experience required
- A bachelor’s degree from an institution in computer systems technology or a similar discipline.
- CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, and Certified WAN Professional (CWP) certifications are prerequisites that will be advantageous.
- Two years or more of network and infrastructure experience, preferably in a banking setting.
- Technical management of communications with suppliers, contractors, and other parties involved
- Network security and compliance expertise
- Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewalls, and routers.
- expertise in network analysis, testing, and evaluation to ensure optimal performance and availability of resources.
- Understanding of network security, including the design and setup of firewalls, Cisco routers, and a variety of other security devices.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure, wireless networks, and Cisco ISE.
- Strong communication skills—oral, written, and interpersonal.
- Strong switching and routing abilities.
- Skills in customer service and communication.
