The key purpose: Responsibility for all operational tax matters of the businesses within the Tanzania Business unit.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Assuming compliance responsibility for all operational country-related tax problems (such as local TP requirements, excise duties, VAT, WHT, payroll taxes, stamp duties, and customs duties) is a key function of the role.
- In order to implement all tax efficiency efforts, the incumbent will collaborate with the Business Unit Southeast (BU) Tax Manager and the Zone tax team. The incumbent will be expected to concentrate on Cash Tax Efficiencies and Cash Tax Reporting and Tracking obligations as per the AB InBev policy.
- to serve as the primary point of contact for all pertinent tax concerns between the Finance Manager/Director and the BU Tax Manager.

The Tax specialist will be required to:
- Assist the BU Tax Manager in making sure the nation has the right agreements and mechanisms in place.
- Create and implement plans to reduce tax exposures and liabilities for the entire business unit, consulting the tax department for the Africa Zone.
- Make that the country tax arrangements adhere to the principles and requirements of Zone Tax and Ab InBev Global.
- Conduct routine operational tax assessments for all business units in the nation and put measures in place to rectify any gaps found during these assessments.

Profile:
- A degree in tax, commerce, or accounting
- A minimum of four years’ experience in the tax field, with a focus on tax accounting and reporting. Relevant practical tax experience in Tanzania or Africa, covering both direct and indirect taxes as well as international taxation.

- Powerful analytical abilities
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
