POSITION: STORES OFFICER

Qualification and Experience.

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in procurement, in-store management, or a similar discipline
• A minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative or comparable function
• The capacity for multitasking and proficient organizing abilities.
• Candidates that reside in the Lake/Mwanza zone are given first priority.

Job Description.

• To obtain, in accordance with established protocol, the items supplied by the vendors and ordered by the purchasing department in appropriate circumstances.
• To confirm that the materials obtained from vendors are accurate in terms of their quality, quantity, specifications, and condition.
• To appropriately store the items that are received from vendors in order to facilitate identification, verification, handling, maintenance, and other processes.
• To prevent any damage or loss, make sure that the supplies are properly stocked using the right care and preservation techniques.
• To guarantee the user department receives materials in a seamless manner.
• To guarantee proper record-keeping of the materials that are provided and received (GRN and Deliverable Note).
• To guarantee that the employees working in the business have a comfortable environment and that everything is kept nice and orderly.
• To guarantee that the appropriate safety precautions are taken for the protection of the store’s structure, inventory, and employees.
• To guarantee that the business is kept in a presentable and up-to-date state at all times.
• Sort the resources according to their categories and store them where they belong.
• Should take the necessary steps to ensure the materials are cared for and preserved.
• Regular stock checks to guarantee accuracy of stock at all times.
• To forward the vendor’s invoices for the materials you received and forward them to the accounts department for payment.

• Complete any store-related tasks that your immediate manager assigns you from time to time.
