Position: Administration Superintendent/Estate Manager

Qualification and Experience.

• A certificate, diploma, or degree in property management, logistics, or any related discipline, or in any technological sector.
• Five to eight years’ experience in administration tasks and procedures, logistics and transportation, or property management.
• The capacity to use school management systems and computers, such as Microsoft Office.
• Superb problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, outstanding organizational skills, and excellent communication skills
• Sound judgment and ability to make decisions.
• Candidates that reside in the Lake/Mwanza zone are given first priority.

Job Description.

• Oversee the GVEA schools’ administrative operations, make sure the building management department functions well, and assist all staff members with their administrative needs.
• Oversees and effectively manages the GVEA Schools’ estates department, which includes overseeing health and safety, cleaning, school maintenance, dormitory and classroom maintenance, grounds and athletic field maintenance, kitchen management, and cooks.
• Carries out security and safety procedures to guarantee a secure learning environment. Analyze the success of the security and safety initiatives in schools. creates policies, guidelines, and goals to support and enhance security and safety initiatives.
• Oversee and secure building permits from regional authorities for any renovations or new construction projects at GVEA schools.
• Ensuring that GVEA Schools are kept up to date and that all functional equipment is operating without hiccups by placing the necessary equipment orders and scheduling routine maintenance
• Organizing administrative processes and systems, planning them, and coming up with methods to make them more efficient.
• Hiring, onboarding, and training staff as well as assigning duties and office space.
• Evaluating employee performance and offering coaching and direction to guarantee optimal productivity in your areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for making the greatest use of the resources available to the organization in order to improve productivity and effectiveness at GVEA.
• Responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and supervising activities and duties related to school vehicle maintenance and transportation within an organization;
• Oversee and manage the school kitchen’s operations, which include assigning tasks as needed, supplying food, preparing and cooking it, keeping the kitchen fully stocked, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations, and keeping the food supply from the stores as needed.
• Execute any other administrative tasks as assigned from time to time by your immediate management.
