VACANCY: LOAN RECOVERY OFFICER

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective strategies for the recovery of outstanding loan amounts.
  • Communicate with delinquent clients to negotiate and facilitate the repayment of loans.
  • Initiate and manage legal proceedings for loan recovery.
  • Monitor and manage the collection process, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan recovery activities.
  • Submit regular reports on recovery progress to the management team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in loan recovery or a related field.
  • Experience in negotiating loan settlements with microfinance borrowers. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of legal procedures related to debt recovery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in English and Kiswahili.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
  • Preference will be given to candidates registered as advocates at the High Court of Tanzania.

Remuneration:

  • In addition to a competitive monthly salary, the successful candidate will earn a performance-based commission on each loan amount recovered. This structure is designed to reward proactive and successful loan recovery efforts.
