VACANCY: ECONOMIST II – 2 Posts
Entry Qualifications
Holder of an equivalent degree from an accredited university or a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: finance, economics, project planning and management, statistics, agriculture, and agribusiness.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To support with matters concerning budgeting and planning;
- To support the management and planning of development initiatives;
- To help find activities that generate income;
- To support the development of strategies and plans for the short and long term;
- To create planning guidelines and support the strategic plan’s coordination, creation, implementation, monitoring, and assessment;
- To assemble Directorate, Unit, and Section budget projections in accordance with published budget framework guidelines;
- To gather cooperation’s work plans, initiatives, and oversee their execution;
- To examine the commercial and strategic plans of Cooperation;
- To assess the cooperation’s action plans and make recommendations;
- To suggest methods for enhancing performance; and
- To carry out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor may prescribe.
Salary Scale: TPCSS 4
Age Limit: Not more than thirty years (30) years.

- An applicant should not apply if they are retired from the public service for whatever reason.
- The application should list three credible references along with their trustworthy connections.
- The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) should verify certificates from international examination bodies for either Ordinary or Advanced level education.
- The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) should verify professional diplomas from foreign universities and other training institutions.
