Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC)

The Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) was established by Act of Parliament No. 19 of 1993 and became operational on the 1st January, 1994. As a designated public postal operator, TPC is obligated to abide by universal services obligation (USO) which mandates the Corporation to provide accessible, affordable, and reliable postal services to the people of the United Republic of Tanzania in all corners of this country.

VACANCY: DRIVER II – 3 Posts

Entry Qualification

Holder of a Form IV Certificate and a Class “C1 or E” driver’s license who has completed a basic driving course provided by VETA or another accredited organization and has at least one (1) year of accident-free driving experience. An extra benefit is having a Trade Test Grade Ill/Level II in Motor Vehicle Maintenance/Mechanics.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To operate cooperative automobiles for administrative objectives;
• Keeping track of logbooks on every journey;
• Accountable for keeping the car and the tools that have been given to them safe;
• To keep the necessary discipline for drivers;
• To keep the car and its instruments clean;
• To quickly report any flaws or issues found with the car;
• To attend to small repairs and document;
• To follow scheduled maintenance; and
• To perform additional tasks assigned by their immediate supervisor that are relevant to their expertise.

Salary Scale; TPCSS 2

Age Limit: Not more than thirty five years (35)
