It is also responsible in conducting Axle Load Control Operations using weighbridge scales.

The Regional Manager TANROADS Dodoma on behalf of the Chief Executive TANROADS is looking for qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant posts available for construction of four (4) bridges and its approach roads to gravel standard in Dodoma Region. TANROADS therefore intends to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill vacancy posts on specified contract for the aforementioned bridge projects in the following fields.

POSITION TITTLE:  ENGINEER II (Works Inspector – Drainage/Structure) (1 Post)

Direct Entry qualifications:

holders of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines: structural engineering, highway engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent. ERB registration as a Graduate Engineer is required.

• Duties and Responsibility:

• Helps to ensure that all structural reports and drawings comply with the relevant standards and specifications.
• Helps to verify that all materials and finished work comply with technical specification standards by reviewing, inspecting, and approving them.
• Helps with the daily preparation of a brief status report that includes the most recent drainage work costs.
• To keep a daily site journal, the structure and topics of which will be determined by the employer
• Carry out any additional responsibilities that the supervisor may assign you.
