On November 1, 2023, the Office of the Prime Minister – Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities (OWM – KVAU) announced training opportunities that will be provided in training institutions announced from 26 regions of Mainland Tanzania.

The Office of the Prime Minister – Work, Youth Employment and Persons with Disabilities would like to inform the public that 6,000 young people have been selected to join training in 43 colleges in the country.

The names of the selected young people are posted on the notice boards of the respective colleges and on the www.kazi.go.tz website. The selected young people are required to report to the colleges for confirmation and registration starting on January 15, 2024, where the training will officially begin on January 22, 2024. The regions and colleges where the training will take place are as follows:-

Applications were submitted from 01/11/2023 to 14/11/2023 accompanied by the following documents:

  • Training application letter;
  • Copy of Birth Certificate;
  • A copy of the certificate of education you have graduated;
  • Citizenship ID / voter’s card (For those aged 18 and above);
  • Letter of identification from the Local/Village Government Office where the applicant lives; and
  • Four passport photos (three names of the applicant should be written on the back).

The qualifications for joining this training were:

  • Basic education or more in the fields of fashion design and tailoring, plumbing, construction, carpentry, welding and metalwork, painting and sign writing;
  • Education of the fourth form and continuing in other fields including the field of mechanical spare parts manufacturing, automotive engineering, domestic and industrial electricity, IT, automotive electricity and solar electricity;
  • Be a Tanzanian;
  • Be between 15-35 years old;
  • Be healthy;
