It is also responsible in conducting Axle Load Control Operations using weighbridge scales.

The Regional Manager TANROADS Dodoma on behalf of the Chief Executive TANROADS is looking for qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant posts available for construction of four (4) bridges and its approach roads to gravel standard in Dodoma Region. TANROADS therefore intends to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill vacancy posts on specified contract for the aforementioned bridge projects in the following fields.

THE TANZANIA NATIONAL ROADS AGENCY (TANROADS)

POSITION TITTLE: SENIOR ENGINEER (STRUCTURES/BRIDGE ENGINEER) – (3 POSTS)

Entry Qualifications:

The candidate must be a citizen of Tanzania, hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: structural engineering, highway engineering, transportation engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent training from an accredited institution, and have at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience. must have a Professional Engineer registration with the ERB.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Check that structural reports and drawings adhere to the relevant specifications and standards.
2. Examine, verify, and approve the building materials used in the project to ensure they meet all technical requirements.
3. On a daily basis, keep and preserve records of everything related to drainage structures, such as reports, work diaries, correspondence, orders to contractors, and more.
4. Accept measured amounts of daily, satisfactorily completed drainage work;
5. Create and submit a brief status report each day that includes the most recent drainage work expenses; and
6. Carry out any additional responsibilities that the supervisor may assign you.
