For a proactive and motivated Product Specialist Graduate Trainee/Intern to join our team, contact Smart Foundry. For recent graduates, this internship program gives a rare chance to work in a fast-paced startup setting and obtain practical experience in product development, market research, and project management. The chosen applicant will collaborate closely with our seasoned team members to support the creation and introduction of cutting-edge solutions that address problems in Africa and promote corporate expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help with market research and analysis to determine consumer demands, market trends, and the competitive environment for prospective new businesses.
- Assist the product development team in developing the features, needs, and technical details of the product by providing market analysis and user input.
- Work together with cross-functional teams from business development, marketing, engineering, and design to steer the product development process from idea to launch.
- In order to improve product prototypes and user experience iteratively, conduct user testing and collect feedback.
- Help with the creation of product documentation, such as release notes, user manuals, and guides, to guarantee effective communication and comprehension among stakeholders.
- Take part in ideation workshops and brainstorming sessions to provide creative concepts and solutions for new product ideas.
- Assist with project management tasks such as planning, monitoring tasks, and reporting progress to guarantee the timely and effective completion of product milestones.
- Help with conducting focus groups, questionnaires, and customer interviews to evaluate product concepts and obtain information for product iteration and refinement.
- Participate in marketing and communication initiatives, such as event planning, social media management, and content production, to support the introduction and promotion of new goods.

Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in product management, computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline. Applicants must be recent graduates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to collect and analyze data to guide strategy and product decisions.
- Strong writing and vocal communication abilities, with the capacity to express ideas succinctly and effectively.
