At Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited, your duties as a Plant Accountant include monitoring monthly inventory counts of all finished and raw materials to ensure accuracy and completeness. You’ll also be expected to assist with forecasting and carry out required analytical work on cost variances upon request from the Plant Manager, Project Manager, and Financial Controller.
What you intend to do:
- Doing life cycle cost-benefit analysis and determining the reasons behind capital expenditure purchases.
- Examine plant availability, utilization, and production/unit production costs on a monthly and annual basis.
- Tracking changes in stock levels and the anticipated effect on average manufacturing costs.
- Providing expert advice on financial issues and suggestions for enhancing company performance.
- monitoring the use of investments in relation to the project’s budget and completion.
- Overseeing the plant’s month-end procedures to make sure that important deadlines and cut-off procedures are followed.
- Monitoring/verifying the accuracy of contractor bills and provide advice on the best course of action for posting.
- Records of leasing personnel’s working hours are compared to the raised invoice.
- Track the GRN process for invoices in SAP and verify every day that the received products are posted accurately and on schedule.
