Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS)
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) was established on 1st July, 2000 by an order published in the Government Gazette, Notice No. 293 of 2000 under Section 3(1) of the Executive Agencies Act No. 30 of 1997, with the expectation of witnessing a significant improvement in road maintenance and development with respect to quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Agency is responsible for the management of 35,000 Km of roads made up of 12,786 Km of trunk roads and 22,214 Km of regional roads according to the Roads Act No. 13 of 2007 and subsequent reclassification up to June 2015.
Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is vested with the responsibility of Maintenance and Development of the Trunk and Regional Roads Network in Tanzania Mainland. It is also responsiÂble in conducting Axle Load Control Operations using weighbridge scales.
The Regional Manager TANROADS Shinyanga on behalf of the Chief Executive TAN ROADS is looking for suitable qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant posts available for the project of Upgrading of Kahama – Bulyanhulu Junction – Kakola (73KM) Road to Bitumen Standard; Contract No: AE/001/2022-23/HQ/W/70.
TAN ROADS therefore intends to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill vacancy posts on specified contract for the aforementioned project in the following fields.
VACANCY: CAD TECHNICIAN (1 Post)
Key Entry Qualifications:
Must be a citizen of Tanzania, possess a diploma in highway engineering, civil engineering, or an equivalent degree from an accredited school, and have worked in a relevant sector for at least five years. They needs to possess a CAD training certificate.
Duties and Responsibility:
- Co create sketches and plans for the design of roads or bridges while working with other staff members; and
- Consult the highway engineer for any updated drawings or sketches related to the design of the road or bridge.
Those who are chosen for the job must be prepared to labor in the Kahama District for extended periods of time.
Terms of Service:
- The Terms of Employment: Specified Contract for 1 year
- Salary: TANROADS Salary scale with other site allowances as per TANROADS Incentive Policy
