Job Summary
Aviation Security Officers perform an important role in protecting our clients, employees, and airport operations. The ideal candidate will have a sharp sense of detail, a strong work ethic, and a firm dedication to security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screening and surveillance: Conduct a complete screening of passengers, luggage, and cargo in accordance with national and international aviation security laws.
- Access Control: Manage access points in restricted regions by confirming credentials and prohibiting unwanted entry.
- Incident Response: Respond quickly and aggressively to security breaches, incidents, and emergencies.
- Compliance and Patrol: Conduct dynamic patrols of airport areas to identify and report any dangers or vulnerabilities. Enforce compliance with security protocols among employees and visitors.
- Documentation and reporting: Keep accurate records, including logs and incident reports, to support security activities.

Qualifications:
- Education:Â Diploma
- Security-Mindedness:Â A demonstrable understanding of security principles and the ability to identify potential threats.
- Physical Fitness:Â Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and meet the physical demands of the role.
- Communication:Â Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Demeanour:Â Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and a professional demeanour when interacting with travellers and colleagues.
- Desirable Skills: Prior experience in an aviation security or related law enforcement role. Certification in aviation security or first aid/CPR.
