The Chief Executive Officer of the Kisarawe District Council has received approval for Contract Employment with Reference No. FA.97/228/02″A”/131 dated February 7, 2024, from the Secretary-General, Office of the President, Public Service Management, and Good Governance (Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS). Therefore, applications are invited from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill the position of Transport Officer Grade II.
1. TRANSPORT OFFICER GRADE II (1 POSITION).
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s/Diploma in Transport from a government-recognized institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Prepare transportation operating costs to aid decision-making.
- Ensure that statistics and records concerning transportation vehicles and their networks are well-maintained and accurate.
- Prepare statistics regarding the growth of the transportation sector and present them to users within and outside the country.
- Collect transportation statistics within the country.
- Estimate and advise on the performance of various transportation sector projects.
- Execute other duties related to the transportation sector.
SALARY The salary will be paid according to government rates at TGS D level.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years
- Applicants must attach comprehensive personal information with a Curriculum Vitae (CV) including a valid address, phone number, email address, and names of three reliable referees.
- Temporary results (Provisional/Testimonials/Statement of Result) will not be accepted.
- Applicants must attach a certified copy of their birth certificate by a lawyer.
- Applicants who have retired from public service are not allowed to apply unless they have clearance from the Chief Secretary.
- All applications must be accompanied by certified academic certificates by a lawyer, including certificates for Form Four, Form Six for those who have reached that level, and certificates of completion of various training courses in line with the qualifications of the job.
- Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure that their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (NACTE/TCU and NECTA).
- Submission of forged information and qualifications will result in legal action against the perpetrators.
- The application letter should be written in either Kiswahili or English.
- All applicants must attach a copy of their National Identity Card (NIDA) – For those without IDs, NIDA numbers should be included in the personal details (CV).
- The successful applicant will be given a one-year contract. It can be renewed for another year based on performance (Renewable Once).
