JOB DETAILS:
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam will have a vacant position of a security assistant/driver, starting from March 2024.
Security assistant/Driver
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Help with administrative tasks and regular security procedures (inspections, exercises, training, mail, deliveries)
- Drive the Embassy cars.
- Maintain vehicles’ cleanliness and usability.
- Additional assignments from the Mission Head.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
- background from the military, law enforcement, or private security industry.
- High school diploma and excellent English test results; driver’s license
- It would be beneficial to have defensive driving training and experience.
- Experience working as a clerk at an office
- computer proficiency (Internet, MS Office)
- extensive familiarity with local traffic regulations
- strong mastery of both Kiswahili and English
- It is extremely preferred if you have prior experience working with businesses, NGOs, or embassies.
- Availability for flexible work schedules as required.
Personal Qualities:
- an efficient worker who is well-organized and capable of finishing assignments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, amiable nature, sense of teamwork, and adaptability to various responsibilities
- Needs to be highly honest and full of energy.
The salary will be in accordance with the Norwegian Foreign Ministry’s salary for local employees of Foreign Service Missions.
