Using the cooperative business model, Mlimani SACCOS Ltd (MSL) is a Saving and Credit Cooperative Society that was established in 2003 with the goal of providing financial services at reasonable prices to pensioners, employees of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), and their immediate relatives. To expedite the accomplishment of its purpose, MSL is currently seeking competent and eligible Tanzanians to occupy open positions in its endeavor to assemble a robust, creative, and effective management team.
TITLE: LOAN OFFICER 1 POSITION
Position Description
The Manager/Chief Accountant of MSL will get direct reports from the Loan Officer, who will be in charge of examining, approving, and suggesting loans be approved. Before choosing the kind(s) of loan(s) to be issued, he or she will meet with applicants to assess their creditworthiness. He or she will carefully review each application to ascertain the appropriate loan amount in accordance with predetermined guidelines. The Loan Officer is required to be up to date on market rates, lending laws, and economic conditions at all times.

Professional and Academic Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce (Finance /Accounting) OR comparable degrees from approved University/institution.
- Between the ages of 20 and 55
- A minimum of one year of relevant managerial experience gained while working for a SACCOS or other financial institution (Micro-Finance).
- Having knowledge with accounting software is advantageous.
- An additional benefit will be having an MBA, operating experience with SACCOS, and a first degree in cooperative management, business management, microfinance, marketing, or entrepreneurship.
- Outstanding marketer with a focus on customer care.
