CARE Tanzania seeks to recruit a self-motivated, results driven, dynamic, suitably qualified, competent and dedicated Tanzanian to fill the following positions: –

JOB SUMMARY

The role also leads on communication in terms of government reporting and communication requirements and supports updating of internal and external communication fora/platforms, as well as report tracking and posting to internal portals. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Oversee internal participation and campaign ownership, including the creation of essential communication materials that will compound the impact.
  • Observe and comply with government regulations while managing reporting and communication responsibilities.
  • Establish internal procedures and structures that facilitate information exchange, learning advocacy, and accountability for applying best practices and lessons learned.
  • Oversee donor, government, and PIIRS reporting.
  • help to improve the caliber of all presentations and goods used for external communication.
  • Oversee the website and social media accounts for CARE International in Tanzania.
  • Create promotional items that will help CARE International become more well-known and visible in Tanzania, such as flyers, brochures, roll-up banners, PowerPoint presentations, and other communications-related materials.
  • Create field event and project participant success stories in close collaboration with project managers for each project.
  • Create and distribute audio-visual content, community outreach initiatives, spot messaging, and significant events by CARE International in Tanzania in close collaboration with various media outlets.
  • Encourage the creation of new programs, the mobilization of resources, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the CO’s competitive edge.
  • Carry out additional tasks that your supervisor assigns you.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree from an accredited university in the social sciences, political science, public policy, international development, or a similar field.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Two years minimum of directly related experience and a track record of accomplishment in all major areas of responsibility.
  • Cultivated relationships and networks with important players.
  • Experience at a global NGO at a middle management position.
  • The capacity to think strategically, act imaginatively, examine problems from a variety of angles, and offer prompt, in-depth advice.
  • The capacity to collaborate and interact with a variety of stakeholders, such as NGOs and government authorities.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in using political and lobbying abilities, such as being articulate, diplomatic, and persuasive.
  • Media experience as well as public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills both in writing and speaking, with a fluid writing style and command of both Kiswahili and English. A robust portfolio of communication materials in a variety of media is also present.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Publisher, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated capacity to create and uphold a compliant corporate culture through collaboration to offer workable compliance standards that are easy to apply and follow.
  • Shown sensitivity to and understanding of gender issues, as well as the capacity to incorporate a gender viewpoint into assignments and activities.
  • Operational experience, encompassing the organization, creation, and execution of operational tasks.
  • The capacity to build and preserve productive working connections while being neutral and unbiased with individuals from various national and cultural backgrounds.
  • A track record of developing proposals for a variety of foreign donors, including USAID, EU, DFID, and CIDA.
  • Capacity to work well in collaborative settings and possess a deep awareness of diversity and different cultures.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, humorous, a team player, and meticulous.
  • The capacity to use Adobe products, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Rudimentary knowledge of Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras and related gear.
