JOB PURPOSE
To transport materials, products, and personnel in a safe and efficient manner, following the national driving rules and regulations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate company vehicles, including trucks and delivery vans, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations while ensuring the timely and secure transport of goods.
- Transport raw materials from suppliers to the abattoir and deliver finished products to distribution centers or customers.
- Ensure the proper loading, unloading, and securing of materials and products.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to plan delivery routes and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with relevant departments and transport coordinator to confirm delivery requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles, including checking fuel levels, oil, and other fluid levels.
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Submit daily reports on completed deliveries, issues encountered, and any other relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all transportation activities.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including professional and courteous interactions with customers and partners.
- Follow established procedures in the event of accidents, breakdowns, or emergencies.
- Report incidents to the appropriate authorities and the company.
- Ensure the security of the vehicle, its contents, and any company property within the vehicle.
- Park and secure the vehicle at designated locations.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate or Diploma or equivalent vocational training in driving or logistics is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Driver
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic rules.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Familiarity with Tanzanian road networks and routes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
