SGA GUARDS TANZANIA LTD we are looking for a CCTV Operator to join our team.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an experienced and passionate CCTV Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in; –
- Conduct CCTV surveillance as per CCTV control room procedure.
- Ensure all incidents reported to the control room are properly received and recorded.
- Ensure reported incidents are escalated to the relevant senior and standby officers.
- Report observed intrusion and any breach to the security teams on the ground.
- Ensure the security response teams are warned of any threat that may endanger their lives when responding to an incident.
- Report any system faults to the standby technician, CCTV Senior supervisor, and Technician in charge.
- Report any observed suspicious behavior.
- Report any observed safety breaches, hazards, and safety incidents.
- Follow reporting procedure on reporting incidents.
- Report on systems repaired, maintained, and newly installed.
- Ensure the control room is properly arranged and is tidy all the time.
- Ability to take control – make decisions and take accountability for decisions you make.
- Manage or coordinate incidents reported to CCTV.
- Monitor tracking system and report any irregularity and suspicious movement. Ensure daily tracking reports are pulled from the tracking system on
- vehicles/trucks not reporting and any other fault from the tracking system.
- Acknowledge all alarms on the system received from various areas and ensure required action is taken.
- Familiarize yourself with various security procedures to be able to work accordingly and notice any procedure breach.
- Provide a shift work plan to ensure all high-risk areas are properly crewed. • Advise CCTV Senior Supervisor on a better way to improve performance and manage identified risks.
- Take care of work-related equipment i.e. CCTV Control Room Equipment, furniture, etc.
- Work without frequent or constant supervision.
- Ensure the surveillance system is checked daily and any fault is attended to on time.
- Maintain system performance and control room operation confidentiality.
- Demonstrate good customer care with radio and telephone communication.
- Any other tasks assigned to you by your supervisor related to CCTV control room operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least a Certificate of Advanced Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or its equivalent and above.
- Information Technology certificates will be an added advantage.
- Computer literate
- Writing and listening skills
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Written and verbal Arabic communication skills desire
- Achievements oriented.
ACCOUNTABILITY.
- Ability to work effectively with constant interruptions and meet scheduled timelines.
- Ability to treat intonation, data and records confidentially
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in CCTV control room operations, Surveillance.
