CORE JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mechanical Officer is in charge of assisting Field Teams with all technical generator concerns. The role holder is responsible for ensuring that effective Preventive and Corrective Maintenance is carried out on sites without any technical failure owing to team incompetence in compliance with the established Service Level Agreement [SLA]. The individual must also guarantee that all site generators are properly maintained in accordance with OEM standards and that all services are performed correctly.
KEY TASKS
- When necessary, provide mechanical technical support to Preventive Maintenance teams at each site.
- Perform a site generator audit in accordance with the customer’s SLA.
- Ensure that consumables and spares are used properly.
- Ensure proper use of firm assets (working tools).
- Provide technical assistance to field teams as needed.
- DATA SECURITY
- Issues discovered during any activity on site are escalated as soon as possible.
- MTTR and MTTF compliance by site class
- When necessary, provide mechanical technical support to Preventive Maintenance teams at each site.
EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in mechanical engineering or a related profession.
EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years of comparable experience is required. Working experience in the telecommunications industry will be advantageous.
